Igloo Products Corp. has issued a recall for its 90-Quart Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers due to a risk of fingertip amputation and crushing injuries associated with the tow handle.

The recall applies to coolers manufactured before January 2024. Affected units can be identified by a date code imprinted on the bottom in a circular pattern, indicating the month and year of manufacture.
Approximately 1,060,000 of these coolers were sold in the United States, 47,000 in Canada, and 23,000 in Mexico. The products were available for purchase between May 2019 and February 2025. The coolers were sold in multiple body and lid colour combinations, and all recalled units were manufactured in the United States.

The issue stems from the tow handle, which can pinch users’ fingers against the cooler body, posing a serious risk of injury. While no incidents have been reported in Canada as of February 3, 2025, there have been 12 reports in the United States. These incidents include fingertip amputations, bone fractures, and lacerations.
Consumers are advised to stop using the coolers immediately and contact Igloo for a free replacement handle. The company can be reached at 1-888-943-5182, by email at igoo90qt@sedgwick.com, or through the recall website at www.igloo90qtrecall.expertinquiry.com.
This recall is being conducted in cooperation with Health Canada and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC). Under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, recalled products cannot be resold, redistributed, or given away in Canada.
Health Canada encourages consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to this or other consumer products through the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
