Insomnia Cookies, the U.S. sensation for late-night dessert deliveries, is making its Canadian entry with its first store set to open at York University on September 9.

CNW Group/Insomnia Cookies
Originating from a simple craving in a college dorm by student Seth Berkowitz, what started as a quest for a sweet alternative to typical late-night snacks has now grown into an empire.
Founded in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania, Insomnia Cookies, headquartered in Philadelphia, is known for its delectable cookies and ice cream. With over 245 locations in the U.S., the brand assures warm cookies delivered or in-store, round the clock.
According to the news release, the secret behind Insomnia’s success isn’t just its dedication to warm deliveries but also its “cookievation” – innovative flavours and creations.
The menu ranges from traditional Chocolate Chunk and Snickerdoodle to unique offerings like the Canadian inspired SKOR Crunch Deluxe. Their evolving collection includes limited-edition flavors, vegan options, “Brookies”, and more. Complementing this is their ice cream selection, which can be savored standalone, atop a cookie, or as a sandwich in a custom cookie’wich.
Celebrating its Canadian debut at 85 The Pond, York University, Insomnia Cookies has planned a nighttime extravaganza with music, complimentary cookies, and giveaways on September 9. Fans can stay updated on their Canadian journey via their social media handles, and those in GTA can access special offers through the brand’s app.
