KD Cream Soda Is Now a Thing, Thanks to a Toronto Collaboration

Kraft Dinner is moving beyond the bowl and into the beverage aisle with a product Canadians probably did not have on their 2026 bingo card – KD-flavoured cream soda.

KD has teamed up with Toronto-based Solly’s Craft Soda to create KD x Solly’s Cream Soda, a limited-edition drink that combines the sweetness of cream soda with a hint of KD’s familiar cheese flavour.

It is the first soda released under the Kraft Dinner name.

The new drink is meant to work either alongside a bowl of KD or on its own. Canadians can buy it on Amazon beginning September 23, with participating retailers, including Walmart, expected to carry it in early October. It will be available only while quantities last.

Solly’s Craft Soda is an independent, family-owned company founded in Toronto by Adin Wener and inspired by his son, Solomon “Solly” Wener. Its regular sodas are made with real cane sugar, contain 45 calories, are low in sugar and are a source of fibre.

For Wener, developing a cheese-inspired soda was deliberately unusual. “It’s wonderfully strange, and somehow, it works,” he said.

Daniel Lundberg, Head of Marketing and Strategy at Kraft Heinz, said the unexpected pairing was part of the appeal, noting that soda is “the last place you would expect to find KD.”

The collaboration follows other experiments that have taken Kraft Dinner outside its traditional mac and cheese format, including KD Mac & Cheesecake and KD Ramen.

What makes this release different is the category itself. Instead of changing the shape or preparation of KD, the company has turned its signature cheese flavour into a carbonated drink.
