Award-winning Indian composer A.R. Rahman’s directorial debut, “Le Musk” which premiered at Cannes Film Market’s Cannes XR is now playing in Toronto.
Le Musk is a 37-minute multi-sensory cinematic experience that combines cinema, motion, and scent to offer a thrilling evolution of immersive entertainment.
Directed and scored by two-time Oscar and Grammy-winning composer, A. R. Rahman, the virtual-reality movie follows an orphaned heiress, Juliet Merdinian (Nora Arnezeder) on a trail of three mysterious men with distinct scents who changed her destiny.
The film shot in Rome is showcased using a motion platform along with scents and haptics to provide a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.
Slumdog Millionaire fame composer says the idea for the movie came from a conversation with his wife on why scent was not often used as a narrative device in cinema.
Le Musk is now being shown by Lighthouse Immersive at 1 Yonge St, Toronto, The show runs until January 29, 2023. Tickets start at $67.74.
