Malls are allowed to open in Alberta with in-store shopping and payments from May 14th. Food courts are also allowed to serve customers with 50 per cent dine-in capacity. Not all stores in the malls will be open as some retailers are taking there time in implementing Alberta safety guidelines.
As malls across Edmonton open to shoppers, these are the shopping hours and other plans in place at some of Edmonton’s malls.
West Edmonton Mall
Guests are encouraged to wear a mask when visiting the mall. WEM is expanding curbside pick up to include more entrances.
WEM MALL HOURS:
Monday – Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Safety Precautions
- Continuous cleaning and disinfecting of crucial touch points throughout WEM (including railings, escalators, elevators, etc.)
- Hand sanitization stations have been placed at all mall entrances
- Overnight cleaning crews are doing additional deep cleaning procedures after the mall closes until reopening the following day
- All movable common area seating has been removed
- Acrylic shields will be installed at all Guest Services counters
- Front line staff (Guest Services, Security, Facilities Management, etc.) will be supplied with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment based on job requirements
- WEM Security will be onsite 24/7 and will be monitoring all common areas to ensure Guest, Tenants, and Employees are safe. WEM Security can be reached at 780-4
- Food court seating will be reduced to 50%. Measure are being taken to ensure proper social distancing is achieved.
- Food court trays will be removed and tenants will be asked to maintain the grab and go approach to reduce touch points
- Retailer have the option of opening or closing their store fronts to control flow of traffic and or appointments
Londonderry Shopping Centre
Londonderry Mall will reopen with implementing similar precautions like WEM on May 14, 2020. Wheelchairs, Strollers, Nursing room, Family washroom, Water fountains, Informal Mall Walking program, Guest Services Booth will remain closed.
Not all retailers are open.

Mill Woods Town Centre
Mill Woods Town Centre is operating at regular business hours with enhanced cleaning protocols while executing guidelines from the government of Alberta.

- Sat: 9:30am–5:30pm
- Sun: noon–5pm
Southgate Centre
Open Hours
- Monday to Saturday: 10am-6pm
- Sunday: 11pm-5pm
Kingsway Mall
Kingsway Mall is open for shoppers from May 14th. As with the other malls, not all retailers are open.

Boonie Doon Centre
The mall will re-open on May 14h. Boonie Doon Centre has implemented new cleaning protocols, physical distancing measures within Bonnie Doon Centre and safety practices.

Edmonton City Centre
