Celebration Square will transform into an urban snowpark next month for APIK Mississauga, presented by Samsung Galaxy.

The event marks Ontario’s first competition of its kind, featuring elite skiers and snowboarders from Canada and around the world, with a $100,000 total prize purse. Admission is free, courtesy of Visit Mississauga.
Festival Highlights
- Urban Snowpark: A custom-built 11.2-metre-high, 86-metre-long structure, featuring six rail setups and covered with 2,000 cubic metres of natural and artificial snow, will serve as the competition’s main stage.
- Elite Athletes: Over 80 athletes, including Olympians and X Games medalists such as Tom Wallisch, Megan Oldham, Jesper Tjäder, Olivia Asselin, Pat Fava, Frank Jobin, Natalie Allport, and Laurie Blouin, will compete for top prizes.
- Competition & Prize Money: The top skier and snowboarder will each receive $10,000, with awards distributed based on trick quality and style.
- Live Entertainment: Visitors can enjoy DJ sets, food vendors, a winter beer garden, and afterparties throughout the festival.

What: APIK is a FREE urban winter event in the heart of Celebration Square. Ski and snowboard competitions, snowskate demos and lessons, DJ sets, afterparty.
The mountain spirit comes to the city—it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy winter with family or friends.
Ski and snowboard athletes will compete for a total prize pool of 100,000 CAD, with 25,000 CAD awarded to both men and women in each sport!
When:
Friday, February 7 (5:00 – 10:00 p.m.): Snowskate showcase featuring top North American athletes, presented by Ambitions Snowskate. Free snowskate lessons will be available throughout the weekend.
Saturday, February 8 (12:00 – 10:00 p.m.): Skiing competition, Samsung Galaxy Best Trick contest, and podium presentation.
Sunday, February 9 (12:00 – 8:00 p.m.): Snowboarding competition, Samsung Galaxy Best Trick contest, and podium presentation.
