Wondering what you can do at this weekend-long celebration?

On the festival’s opening night, there will be a carnival that you’ll want to spend some time exploring. This year, the carnival rides provided by Townsend Amusements are geared towards kids.

Friday night features an 80’s themed party and with the band Rock of 80’s taking to the stage at 8:30pm. The event has $15 cover which includes beef on a bun.

On Saturday, the fair will be open for plenty of fun including amusement rides, and market. The festivities will also include a car show.

You’ll get to continue exploring the fairground vendor market and amusement rides on Sunday, and a special kids zone, from 3 to 5pm. At 3pm, Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse will kick things off, joined by everyone’s favorite neighborhood Spider-Man. Then, at 4pm, Scoop McCoy will dazzle with a magic show featuring special guests Bluey and Elsa! The event takes place in the parking lot between the Community Centre and Arena, where Bones, the beloved Ice Dogs mascot, and a real firetruck will also be making an appearance. The afternoon wraps up with a lively bubble dance party.

In the evening, join the community for an exhilarating Sunday evening at the annual Band, Beer Tent, and Fireworks celebration! Sip and sway from 5pm with Brett Friesen, then rock out with The Chimps until 10pm. As dusk settles around 9pm, enjoy a spectacular fireworks show that lights up the night.

The last day of the festival will feature a parade along with a beer garden from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m., midway and fair. Figure Four band will be entertaining the patrons from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the  Merritton Community Centre beer garden tent.
