Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest
One of Ontario’s enduring Thanksgiving weekend traditions, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest has announced the details of the 2021 festival.
The 53rd Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest will run over three weekends from September 24 to October 11.
The official opening ceremonies with the ceremonial keg tapping will be live-streamed once again from the Region of Waterloo International Airport on Friday, September 24th at 12 noon.
Sadly, the famous Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Parade will be a virtual event, with CTV Southwestern Ontario broadcasting a 1 hour special that looks back on previous parades, and will include behind-the-scenes footage, and special guests.
Just like last year, the organizers are planning “Micro-Festhallen” with multiple venues across KW Region featuring live Oktoberfest entertainment, Oktoberfest food specials and beer pairings, and prize programs.
