Mucho Burrito’s Ghost Pepper Burrito Makes a Spicy Comeback

Mucho Burrito is reintroducing the Ghost Pepper Burrito to its menu for a limited time across all locations.

Mucho Burrito

Initially launched in 2012, and having made three subsequent reappearances, this spicy offering utilizes the formidable ghost pepper, once deemed the world’s hottest chili pepper and originating from Northeast India.

The ghost pepper is noted for its substantial heat, exceeding one million Scoville Heat Units (SHUs), a widely accepted spicy heat measure.

Two variants of the burrito cater to distinct diner preferences for spiciness:  the milder “Wimpy” and the intensely hot “Hotter Than Hell.”

The Ghost Pepper Burrito will be available in two versions, each designed to appeal to different spice tolerance levels.

The “Wimpy” option provides a somewhat milder spice level, intended to be more palatable for the general burrito enthusiast, while the “Hotter Than Hell” iteration aims to satisfy dedicated spice lovers with an amplified heat level, incorporating an additional 20 grams of a specialized ghost pepper sauce.

Both variants will be enveloped in a sundried-tomato tortilla and will feature grilled chicken, ghost pepper bacon, ghost pepper fig marmalade, diced jalapeno peppers, brown rice, black beans, Monterey Jack cheese, assorted fajita vegetables, sour cream, and salsa, with the latter having medium spiciness for the “Wimpy” version and enhanced heat for the “Hotter Than Hell.”

Ghost Pepper Burrito provides an adventurous culinary option for patrons, offering a contrast in spice intensity within the framework of familiar and traditional burrito ingredients.
