Celebrate Father’s Day weekend at a foodie paradise and a musical extravaganza experience in Markham.

Markham is welcoming summer this weekend with a bang with two exciting events – Markham Village Music Festival and the Lucky Lion Night Market.
Starting off with the Lucky Lion Night Market, hosted at CF Markville, attendees can expect a three-day culinary adventure from June 14 to 16, 2024.
This year’s event boasts an impressive lineup of food vendors and trucks, dishing out innovative and exclusive food items. From delectable grilled oysters and mouthwatering lamb/squid skewers to Korean corn dogs, sculptural cotton candy, and even stinky tofu, there’s a diverse range of eats to satisfy every palate.
Alongside the delightful food options, the night market will also feature live performances, interactive lion dancing, workshops, crafts, photo ops, performances, claw machines, and countless opportunities to create cherished memories.
PowerHouse introduces P-Pop, while 915 and HAVOC Dance energize with K-Pop covers, gaining followers and accolades. Red Flag Dance Crew and WAK Crew, both rooted in K-Pop, engage in performances and competitions. Solo artist Laettner Calderon blends indie-pop and R&B, representing Asian talent globally. Reverie Dance Team embodies a growing dance community united by friendship.
The event will take place in the outer parking lot by Austin Road and Bullock Drive.
The Markham Village Music Festival at Main Street offers an equally exciting experience for attendees. With over 50 artists lined up to perform across five stages, festival-goers will be treated to diverse music genres.
The 2024 headliners feature an eclectic mix, including Tom Wilson, a distinguished Canadian singer-songwriter, on Saturday night. Friday’s lineup boasts Exodus with Lazo, a Bob Marley tribute, and Zaki Ibrahim, known for her soulful R&B and jazz. Georgia Harmer, a rising folk talent, sets the stage earlier on Saturday, showcasing the festival’s rich musical diversity.
In addition to the musical extravaganza, the festival will feature various attractions and activities.
The Barkham dog-friendly zone on Saturday, June 15, invites pet owners to bring their furry friends and enjoy a day of fun.
The Saturday Farmers’ Market, street vendors, and a vendor village will offer a range of goods, crafts, and delicious food. Families can explore the Kidz Zone, featuring performances, hands-on crafts,.
The Multicultural Taste of Markham will showcase diverse food vendors, performers, and local dance studios, celebrating the city’s cultural richness.
The events are suitable for all ages, and admission is free. The Markham Village Music Festival will take place on June 14 and 14 at Markham’s Main Street, with Friday hours from 6 pm to 11 pm and Saturday hours from 10 am to 9 pm.
Kids zone runs on Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the dog-friendly zone from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Remember, Main Street Markham will be closed from Highway 7 to Bullock Drive starting Friday, June 14, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to
Saturday, June 15, 2024 11:59 p.m for the Markham Village Music Festival. There will be no vehicle access to Main Street Markham during this time.
