National Caesar Day

National Caesar Day is the Thursday before the May 24 long weekend!

Invented in Calgary in 1969, by restaurateur Walter Chell to celebrate the opening of his restaurant, Caesar is Canada’s National Cocktail. It typically contains vodka, a caesar mix (a blend of tomato juice and clam broth), hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. The basic caesar recipe follows 1-2-3-4-5 rule.

National Caesar Day is when Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast celebrate our national cocktail with – you guessed it – more Caesars!
