Cineplex is bringing back National Popcorn Days with an expanded offer that runs for four days in January, giving Scene+ members a chance to receive free popcorn with their movie tickets.

From January 16 to 19, 2026, Scene+ members who attend a movie at any Cineplex location in Canada can receive one free small popcorn per day with the purchase of a movie ticket. The promotion adds an extra day compared to previous years, extending the offer beyond the weekend.
To qualify, members must scan their Scene+ membership card or app and present a movie ticket dated for the same day they are claiming the popcorn. A ticket for January 16, for example, can only be used to redeem the offer on that date. Tickets outside the four-day period are not eligible.
The free popcorn is limited to one small bag per Scene+ member per day, provided the member has a valid movie ticket for each day they participate. The offer cannot be upgraded, exchanged, or combined with concession combos, and it does not apply to Poptopia branded popcorn. Any toppings added to the popcorn come at an additional cost.
Cineplex notes that the promotion is not valid for delivery, web orders, or mobile ordering, and time extensions will not be granted. The offer is available only during the stated dates, and additional restrictions may apply.
National Popcorn Days has become a recurring Cineplex promotion, and this year’s version emphasizes in-theatre attendance by tying the free popcorn directly to same-day movie tickets.

To take advantage of this offer, Scene+ members must scan their membership card or the barcode on the Scene+ app and show a Cineplex movie ticket for a showtime that is dated for the same date they claim the free bag of small popcorn.

Offer is valid for one bag per Scene+ member per day during the Offer Period, provided they have a movie ticket for each day they take advantage of the offer.
