Woody the Talking Christmas Tree is returning to Mic Mac Mall this Saturday!

Woody is an iconic part of Mic Mac Mall’s history, introduced to the public sometime in the early 1980s. He retired in 2007, mainly due to safety concerns and the extensive repairs that were needed to Woody’s 56-foot-tall frame.
According to Wikipedia, Mic Mac Mall is Atlantic Canada’s largest enclosed shopping mall. In 2021, it was acquired by Halifax developer Joe Ramia.

The new mall owners decided to restore the talking tree, and Woody returned in November 2021 with a makeover to his appearance to the delight of the locals and the ‘horror’ of the internet (thanks to Jimmy Fallon).
Woody returns to Mic Mac Mall for the fifth year on November 15.
You can participate in the “Wake Woody Up” celebrations on Saturday.
Santa Claus is set to make a grand entrance at the shopping center at 10:00 a.m.
Santa will greet families and lead the tradition of waking up Woody the Tree with the help of the crowd.
Attendees can enjoy free Woody face painting, treats, and live entertainment.
