Stan Rogers Folk Festival has announced the initial lineup for the 2024 edition.

Stan Rogers Folk Festival

2024 Stanfest will kickoff on Thursday, July 25, and run until Sunday, July 28, in Canso, Nova Scotia. The festival will offer a diverse range of musical genres and styles.

 

Headlining the festival on Friday, July 26 will be the celebrated Canadian musician Jim Cuddy, renowned for his solo career as well as his contributions to the band Blue Rodeo, who boasts an impressive collection of awards including 15 JUNO Awards, The Order of Canada, and induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Among the performers are Aleksi Campagne, Dave Gunning, The Once, and many others, promising a rich musical experience for attendees.

The Stan Rogers Folk Festival honours one of Canada’s most prolific songwriters, Stan Rogers. The weekend-long musical adventure features an array of genres, including folk, country, blues, soul, gospel, pop, rock, bluegrass, and world music.

Cormier, Just Prince, Justyn Thyme, Kazdoura, Lennie Gallant, Les Royal Pickles, Lindy Vopnfjord, Luke Wallace, Mallory Johnson, Martin Kerr, Mimi O’Bonsawin, Miscellany of Folk, Nico Paulo, Rachel Davis and Darren McMullen, Rankin MacInnis and the Broken Reeds, Sam Polley and the Old Tomorrows, Shane Douthwright, Shiretown, Terra Spencer, The Once, Tiffany Liu, Tim Baker, The Town Heroes, Willie Stratton with more artists to be announced soon.

Thursday: 6 p.m., gates open at 5 p.m.

Friday: 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., gates open at 5 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., 7 p.m.-10:30 p.m., gates open at 9 a.m.

Where: Canso Sportsplex
104 Queen Street Extension, Canso

How much: weekend pass $189.75 plus tax and up. Day Pass: $69 & up

Accommodations: Campsites are available online, toll free at 1-888-554-7826 or by emailing: info@stanfest.com. RV sites are $100 plus tax and tent sites are $80 plus tax.
