This national launch, starting January 30, includes the debut of two new drinks: the Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso with Toffeenut and the OleatoOat Latte.
The Oleato™ Oat Latte features Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast, known for its smooth and subtly sweet profile, combined with Partanna® extra virgin olive oil and a creamy base.
The Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso with Toffeenut blends Starbucks Blonde espresso with toffeenut notes and creamy oat beverage, topped with vanilla sweet cream infused with olive oil.
The Oleato Golden Foam, a luxurious cold foam, can elevate any iced beverage, infusing it with a spoonful of Partanna extra virgin olive oil for a sumptuous finish.
Per the Starbucks website, the inspiration for Oleato originated in Sicily, where Starbucks founder Howard Schultz discovered the Mediterranean tradition of consuming olive oil daily. Combining olive oil with his morning coffee, Schultz experienced a luxurious, lingering taste, leading to the creation of Oleato. This concept, once an experimental idea, has now transformed into a luxurious coffee experience available across Canada.
Oleato beverages, following their initial introduction in Italy in February 2023, will be available in all Starbucks locations in Canada, including company-operated stores, licensed cafés in various venues, and Starbucks Reserve locations.
