The government of Ontario has announced two temporary road test centres will open on August 9th to deal with the backlog caused by COVID-19 closures.
DriveTest, Ontario’s driver testing services provider will open two temporary road test centres in Guelph and Oshawa. The centres will offer passenger road tests (class G2/G).
The province plans to open four more in September to serve Toronto, Hamilton/Niagara, Mississauga/Brampton, and York/Durham.
Those who wish to book a road test should book through DriveTest.ca, the only official channel for booking a road test.
Operating Hours – Oshawa Centre
Opens: August 9th, 7 days a week.
The centre will exclusively offer class G2/G road tests daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Operating Hours – Guelph Centre
Opens: August 9th, 5 days a week.
The centre will exclusively offer class G2/G road tests from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and expand operations to seven days a week in November 2021.
