8. The Rideau King

The Rideau King, a fifty foot steel tour boat sails Monday through Thursday every week from its home port of Merrickville, Ontario on the historic Rideau Canal.

Full day tours: Merrickville to Ottawa /Ottawa to Merrickville; Westport to Merrickville/ Merrickville to Westport; Transportation available to get you back to starting location.

Merrickville to Ottawa: Sails north toward the village of Burritts Rapids passing through Clowes and Nicholsons locks along the way. North on the Rideau River past Kemptville, Kars and Manotic on the way to the Long Island lock and up river through Black Rapids lock ending the voyage at the Hogs Back lock in the late afternoon.

Merrickville to Westport: west toward Smiths Falls passing through the Kilmarnock, Edmonds, Old Slys locks along the way.
