Outdoor Swimming Pools Are Open Now in Toronto – Map

imageBeat the heat and enjoy a cool dip in the outdoor pools run by the City of Toronto.

The city of Toronto has reopened City’s outdoor pools and splash pads as part of the SwimTO program.

All 140 splash pad locations across Toronto are also open.


Summerville, Alexandra Park and Kiwanis outdoor pools will open following the completion of the planned state of good repair projects. The pools will stay open until the Labour Day weekend, while the splash pads will close on September 13.

The number of swimmers and non-swimmers allowed has been reduced to 25 per cent of capacity so that people have more space to maintain physical distancing. Leisure swim will be prioritized over lane swim to give as many swimmers as possible the chance to cool off. Swimmers will be limited to 45-minute sessions to allow for cleaning.

All swimmers using the pools should sign-in by providing a first name, an email address or phone number, and is required to answer COVID-19 screening questions, and wear a single-use wristband so that Toronto Public Health contact tracing if it’s necessary.

Outdoor Pool Hours:

Cost: free
Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. dailylane swim, if available: 11 a.m. to noon
leisure swim: noon to 8 p.m.

Leisure Swim
45-minute sessions, starting on the hour.

Lane Swim
One person/lane
30-minute sessions, starting on the hour and half-hour
