Health Canada issued the recall on October 22, 2026, after determining that the products do not comply with Canada’s Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, creating a potential fall hazard.

According to the news release, 25,088 units were sold across Canada between January 2022 and September 2026.

The recall covers six models of Simmons Kozy and Nido baby nests and loungers, sold in different colours and textures.

Which Simmons Baby Loungers Are Recalled?

Parents can check the model number on the warning label attached to the product. The UPC was included on the original packaging.

Product Model Number Colour
Kozy 59900 Grey
Kozy 59902 Taupe
Nido 59950 Ivory
Nido 59955 Taupe
Nido 59960 Coconut Milk
Nido 59965 Moonbeam

The products were manufactured in China and imported by Jasztex Fibers Inc., operating as Jupiter Industries, based in Mississauga, Ontario.

Have Any Injuries Been Reported?

As of October 19, 2026, the company had not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

However, Health Canada says the loungers pose a potential fall hazard because they do not meet federal safety requirements.

The agency also reminds caregivers that “the safest place for a baby to sleep is on their back on a firm, flat surface intended for sleep.”

What Should Parents Do?

Anyone who owns one of the affected models should stop using it immediately.

Rather than donating or passing the lounger along, Health Canada advises consumers to dispose of it safely so that it cannot be used again.

Recalled products cannot legally be sold, redistributed or given away in Canada.

For questions about the recall, consumers can contact Jupiter Industries at 1-800-465-5795, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time, or email customerservice@jupiterindustries.com.

The complete recall notice, including product identification information, is available on the Health Canada website.
