The festival will run from June 28 to August 16, 2025, with performances scheduled every Wednesday and Saturday starting at 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The opening night on June 28 will be headlined by Serena Ryder, marking her seventh performance at the festival. The Millbrook-born artist, known for hits like Stompa and Weak in the Knees, has won seven Juno Awards and performed at major events, including the NBA All-Star Game and the Pan American Games. Ryder is also an advocate for mental health and runs the ArtHaus Community to support emerging musicians.
Peterborough Musicfest has hosted a range of notable artists in the past, including City & Colour, Carly Rae Jepsen, Our Lady Peace, Walk Off the Earth, and Randy Bachman. The 2019 festival attracted 135,000 attendees, contributing an estimated $4.3 million to the local economy. The event also helps generate 93 seasonal jobs, supporting businesses in the downtown area.
To support the festival, attendees can purchase a Peterborough Musicfest Diner’s Book for $30, which offers dining discounts at 80 restaurants across the region. Proceeds help fund the free concerts. The books are available for purchase at various local businesses and online.
