What is so special about March 14th? It was recently dubbed Pi Day, with the first three digits of the infinite number being 3.14. So, we celebrate with pie, naturally! And if you need to ask what is so special about pie, then you’re on the wrong list.

And there are many Edmonton bakeries that can help you celebrate pi, math, numbers, and the mystery of the never-ending number, with the best circular treat out there: pie!

Bon Ton Bakery
The beautifully designed pies and crusts from Bon Ton Bakery can be enjoyed with a side of math and calculations. For this year’s Pi Day, Bon Ton is offering a maple apple, mixed berry, and sour cherry peach pie. You can also order the maple apple as a mini pie or as a crostata.
All Pi Day baked goods come topped with a baked-on Pi symbol. If you need to get your pie on March 14, you can pick one up in the store.

Fifendekel
There will be a Pi Day lunch special on March 14th at Fifendekel, featuring their March feature pie for dessert: Paradise Pie. The sandwich shop and bakery are also accepting Pi Day orders for celebrating outside the shop on the 14th. Try the Paradise Pie of the month, or any of their other delicious pie flavours to go.

Blaze Pizza

Vi’s for Pies
As a bakery that specializes in pie, Vi’s has a wide variety of flavours to add to your Pi Day celebrations. They don’t have a unique Pi Day feature, but Vi’s has a reputation for some of the best flaky-crusted desserts in Edmonton. These include fresh fruity flavours, cream pies, and fruity cream pies.

Duchess Bake Shop
You can either order online or visit Duchess in-store to get an order for March 14. The bakery has a few different flavours available, each topped with a pi symbol. Add a symbol to Duchess Bake Shop’s raspberry lemon meringue, banana cream and sour cream cherry pie.

This south Edmonton bakery has a huge menu of delicious sweets that are perfect for any celebration. And for Pi Day this year, you can select from Pome’s various flavours and create a delicious school, work, or at-home celebration.
