Ahoy, mateys! Head to the Port of Orillia this labour day weekend to meet pirates and privateers!
Orillia District Chamber of Commerce
You’ll want to check out the life-sized pirate ship recreations that will be crewed by historical re-enactors during the festival.
Make sure you also stick around for the fencing, artillery, and tactical demonstrations.
On Saturday, you can register to walk the plank or see pirates send local politicians and business leaders into the water.
Don’t forget to visit the pirate encampment village where you’ll find even more historical re-enactors and a blacksmith demonstration and historical props.
This isn’t all you’ll find at this year’s Pirate Party. There will also be live musical performances along with a vendor market where you can pick up some wares and memorabilia.
If you start getting hungry while you’re here, you can grab a bite to eat from one of the many food vendors.
If you’re the type of person who loves exploring, you’ll also want to check out the downtown scavenger hunt. Don’t forget to head to the Rotary Club beer garden to grab a drink or two while you’re here.
You can check out the festival from September 2nd to 4th. The event is free to enter.
