RCMP to Host Musical Ride Open House This Saturday in Ottawa

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) will open the doors to its Musical Ride Centre for the much-anticipated annual Open House this Saturday.

This event, a cornerstone of community engagement since 1996, offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of the RCMP’s Musical Ride, a symbol of tradition and excellence in Canada.

Set for Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Musical Ride Centre, the event invites the public to explore the stables, interact with the riders and their magnificent black horses, and enjoy a variety of demonstrations and activities.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to take photos with the Mounties and their horses, witness the expertise of the RCMP’s specialized units, and view police equipment displays.

While admission is free, the RCMP encourages donations of non-perishable food items or cash to benefit the Ottawa Food Bank, which continues to experience a critical demand for its services.

RCMP Musical Ride Open House and Food Drive

What: Drop in to tour the stables and meet the horses and riders of the world-famous Musical Ride. You’ll have a chance to take a selfie (or two) with a Mountie and their beautiful black horses. You’ll also see demonstrations from the RCMP’s specialized units, take part in family-friendly activities and check out displays of police equipment.

When: Saturday, February 22, 2025  from 10 am to 3 pm.

How Much:

FREE Admission, visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or a cash donation for the Ottawa Food Bank.
