Canada’s newest home store brand, rooms + spaces, is marking its grand entrance this weekend with the launch of multiple stores nationwide.
rooms + spaces will host over 16 grand opening events at stores across the country featuring exclusive deals, instant prizes, and a grand prize of a $5,000 room makeover are set to roll out across all locations.
Outlets are already open in Woodbridge, ON, and Vancouver, BC.
“We are excited to bring a new shopping experience to our customers that makes it easy to find inspiration and see how products will look in different spaces throughout the home,” said Greg Dyer, President, rooms + spaces in a news release. “We have seen a great response since we began to open our doors across Canada and look forward to welcoming our customers in store for our grand opening celebrations.”
rooms + spaces promises a rich blend of quality, affordability, and Canadian-centric offerings. Per the news release, over 80% of its vendors are Canadian, underlining its commitment to local businesses. Besides housing a vast variety of home essentials, the brand boasts exclusive brands and trendy products. Remarkably, each store also incorporates a 1,500 to 2,500-square-foot Toys”R”Us section, enhancing the store’s appeal to a broader audience.
Founded by Doug Putman, a Canadian entrepreneur known for rejuvenating brands like Toys”R”Us, Babies”R”Us, and Sunrise Records, rooms + spaces has recruited more than 500 associates for these stores, spanning over 800,000-square feet of retail space.
Highlighting the strength of Canadian-owned retail, Putman said, “We saw an opportunity to provide a delightful in-store experience in the home goods category, and that’s precisely what our new stores deliver.”
