Ski Hills Closed: Outdoor Recreational Activities Allowed During Ontario Lockdown Starting Dec 26th

All of Ontario will go into lockdown on Boxing Day as the province tries to bring soaring COVID-19 cases under control.

The lockdown will remain in place for southern Ontario until Jan. 23, but will lift for northern Ontario on Jan. 9.

As per the document released,  ski hills will be closed during the lockdown period. Drive-in or drive-through events are also not permitted.

Tobogganing hills, skating trails, snowmobile, cross country, dogsledding, ice-skating and snow-shoe trails are allowed to open.

These are the outdoor recreational amenities permitted to open during the lockdown:

As per the document, a permitted outdoor recreational amenity may only open if:

Any locker rooms, change rooms, showers and clubhouses remain closed, except to the extent they provide access to equipment storage, a washroom
or a portion of the amenity that is used to provide first aid.
