Sony Centre for the Performing Arts to become Meridian Hall in September

Civic Theatres Toronto has entered into a partnership with Meridian. Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union and third largest in Canada has committed $30.75-million over 15 years to the partnership, one of the largest agreements of its kind in the arts and culture community in Canada.

 

The partnership includes the naming rights of The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and Toronto Centre for the Arts.

TO Centre

The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts will be become Meridian Hall and Toronto Centre for the Arts in North York, Meridian Arts Centre from September 15, 2019.

Civic Theatres Toronto that operates Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, Toronto Centre for the Arts in North York, is also rebranding of the organization to TO Live and the launching of the TO Live Foundation to encourage community engagement.
