Canadian Tire Corporation and WestJet have introduced a new partnership that connects their loyalty programs, Triangle Rewards and WestJet Rewards. Members can now link their accounts and earn from both programs on a single purchase.

The concept is simple. Shop or travel once, and collect both Canadian Tire Money and WestJet points on eligible transactions. The combined earnings apply across participating Canadian Tire businesses and WestJet services.

Darryl Jenkins, Executive Vice-President and Chief Development Officer at Canadian Tire Corporation, said the change is aimed at helping Canadians get more value from everyday spending.

Once linked, members can earn dual rewards at stores such as Canadian Tire, SportChek and Mark’s. The same approach carries over to travel. Flights booked through WestJet, along with vacation packages and extras like baggage and seat selection, now earn Canadian Tire Money in addition to WestJet points.

There is also a practical benefit in how rewards can be used. Members can convert WestJet points into Canadian Tire Money, which can then be applied to retail purchases.

To mark the launch, WestJet will also serve FRANK snacks, a product sold at Canadian Tire, on select flights.
