Sugar Bushes

Dumfries Maples: Sugar Bush and Pancake House

If you want to experience some maple syrup fun, then you should take your family to Dumfries Maples Sugar Bush and Pancake House. You will be able to see how pure maple syrup is made or enjoy a maple breakfast on Saturday & Sunday in the Cedar Log Cookhouse.

2026 Season:  Weekends beginning on Saturday, February 28

Hours: Friday: 9 a.m. -1 p.m. (breakfast only)
Saturday – Sunday: 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Elmhurst Outdoors

Join Gig and Jim on a 45-minute guided walk at Elmhurst Outdoors through the history of sugar making, from native traditions to today. Visit the sugar shack, watch sap turn into pure maple syrup, and enjoy sweet maple taffy-on-snow. Tours include the evaporating room, displays, and sugar woods (reservations required). Savour homemade pancakes with local Speerville flour, Elmhurst Outdoors maple syrup, gluten-friendly sausage, Gig’s baked beans, King Cole Tea, and Picadilly coffee—crafted with pride in local ingredients. Tours need to be reserved and are only available on selected days.

Kenneth Maple Farms

Every spring, over 54,000 trees are tapped at the Kenneth Maple Farm. You can take the family out to enjoy a hearty, delicious All-you-can-eat breakfast at the camp before spending some time checking out the forest. They also have ‘Taffy on the Snow’ available on the weekends for visitors to sample.

Trites Family Sugar Bush

Visit Trites Family Sugar Bush this sweet water season.  Free guided tours are available, or you can stay warm in the restaurant and enjoy an All-you-can-eat breakfast, which also includes their delectable maple taffy.

Sugar Bush – La Causerie Inc

Welcome to Sugar Bush “La Causerie,” a charming, fully licensed sugar camp nestled in a 100-acre maple forest, decorated with New Brunswick antiques.  Visit between February and April for sugar licking and a pancake meal.  Many snowmobile enthusiasts visit this sugar bush to explore the forest and the fresh snow.

Cabane à Sucre Gabi et Frères

Cabane à Sucre Gabi et Frères is a family business that values the old-fashioned way of making maple products. The property it is located on has beautiful views and borders a river. Les Aventuriers cross-country ski trail is also nearby, which makes the camp a popular stop for cross-country skiers who may want to have brunch and try the taffy on the snow.
