If you’re looking for something fun to do in Toronto this August weekend, you’ll want to think about checking out the Taste of Manila festival.

Taste of Manila is one of the country’s largest street festivals. As per the organizers, it’s also the most highly attended Filipino festival outside of the Philippines.
The festival will span two days and three main stages: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, each named after the Philippines’ major island groups.
Here is what to expect:
- From morning parades with over 50 community organizations to back-to-back primetime concerts, the streets will echo with music, dance, and shared laughter.
- The Luzon stage packs in dance crews, bands, performing arts groups and individual talents. Airz Dance Squad, Chloe Sofia with Band, Dante Paolo and the Bandesals, Moreen and the Band, JDL Performing Arts, Rockin Siblings and the Seafood City Mississauga Karaoke Idol winner are among its many featured names overall.
- The Visayas stage gathers a broad roster of performers, with Adoboys, Aria, Alibai, Allan, Bryan, Craft of Echoes, Cylla, Dre, JM Band, Juice, Karyin, Keziarine, Martian84, Miko, Ryan, Smoove, Snipez and UDG all on the bill. It is a compact lineup filled with plenty of different names to discover here.
- The Mindanao stage brings together dance groups, bands and individual performers in a notably varied lineup. Amplifye, Daybreak, Drum Room, Dynamic Motion Dancers, Groove Therapy, Krownless King, Rhett Dela Cruz Band, Studio Mahilo, Toronto’s Finest, Yzabelle Albea and the Seafood City Scarborough Karaoke Idol winner are among the featured acts.
- Saturday and Sunday evenings bring powerhouse performances as part of primetime shows: Beki Velo, Shuvee Etrata, Paul Salas, Rochelle Pangilinan, Miguel Tanfelix and John Rex Baculfo, joined by Liza Silagan, JR Tiuam and Bevs Saraza. P.I.T. Dance Crew adds extra energy, with Owen, Anna, Jelly and Chollo rounding out a lively mix of stars, performers and dancers ready to entertain Toronto audiences live.
- Food is one of the most important attractions at the Taste of Manila festival. You can try delicious eats like pork isaw, kwek kwek, kikiam, balut, and mangga with bagoong and more!
- Check out all the amazing food that the vendors like Filipino Street Food, Claire’s Special Kakanin, Filipino Eats by Cely & Co, Verna’s Laguna, Kirb’s Kitchenette, Tita Flips, Potato Corner and others have to offer, and do your best to save room so you can try a little of everything!
