The Sporting Life Group is bringing Team Town Sports, a new sports retail experience, to Canada.

With a plan to expand to 25 stores across the country, the new store by Sporting Life Group joins the existing Sporting Life and Golf Town banners, and will offer retailing products for all team sports needs in Canada including hockey, soccer, baseball/softball, basketball, volleyball, cricket, curling, lacrosse, football, rugby, and ringette.
According to the news release, customers can expect an extensive product range for all team sports, genders, and age groups, including a dedicated section called Kids’ Kingdom in each store, which will cater to the youth sports segment.
Additionally, there will be custom fitting for equipment.
Team Town Sports plans to open three stores in the spring of 2023 in Calgary and Mississauga before expanding to the rest of the country.
The first Team Town Sports locations will open at:
- Market Mall, Calgary, AB (opening May 11th) – 3412 49th St. NW, #100, T3A 2Y9 and approx. 26,000 square ft.
- Heritage Mall, Calgary, AB (opening May 24th) – 33 Heritage Gate SE, Unit 33, T2H 3A7 and approx. 34,000 square ft.
- Meadowvale Town Centre, Mississauga, ON (opening July 24th) – 3135 Argentia Rd, Unit 6/LVB, L5N 8E1 and approx. 30,000 square ft.
The company says the planned expansion for Team Town Sports will result in an estimated 25 locations coast-to-coast, creating between 2,000 and 2,200 new jobs for all Canadians.
