Calgary is set to welcome the return of “The Boo Revue!,” a family-oriented Halloween puppet show, this October.

The show, highlighted by its unique blacklight puppetry, features original characters and songs crafted by Alberta’s own puppeteers.
Creators Brendan James Boyd and Reese Scott, known for their work on the Apple TV+ series “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock,” are the driving force behind the show. They are founders of Puppet Stuff Canada, the only dedicated puppet fabrication studio in Western Canada, which also backs the event.
Boyd, who also penned the show, collaborated with Michael Gordon for its musical components, adding a layer of originality with unique songs and lyrics. The show’s cast includes Boyd, Scott, along with Sarah McPhee, Meghan Schech, and Kevin Kuzyk, bringing together a talented group of local artists.

Calgary audiences have two opportunities to catch the performances, which are scheduled over two consecutive weekends.
The first set of shows will run from October 12-13 at the Shane Homes YMCA, followed by performances on October 19-20 at the Brookfield Residential YMCA.
Don’t wait; get tickets for the whole family and have a spooky Halloween amid glowing puppets.
