Community Display: Planting the Seeds for Truth & Reconciliation

Art Windsor-Essex partnered with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board on a display of artworks made by students in Windsor-Essex. The hearts were coloured by students at WECDSCB. Displayed as blossoming flowers, the hearts represent our collective commitment to working together to achieve truth and reconciliation.

“Planting the seeds for truth and reconciliation” is a metaphor. It likens the work of healing and building better relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to planting a garden, a process that requires time, care, and effort. It honours the experiences of Indigenous Peoples, celebrates resilience, and affirms a commitment that Every Child Matters. Details
