From January 31 to February 2, all proceeds from the sale of these donuts at participating locations nationwide will go directly to the organization.

This marks the sixth year of the initiative, which supports more than 42,000 Special Olympics athletes across Canada. The funds help provide opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate in sports and community programs.

Per the news release, Tim Hortons also contributes to Special Olympics Canada’s youth programs, including FUNdamentals and Active Start. These initiatives focus on helping children with intellectual disabilities develop basic motor and sports skills through engaging in physical activities.

The Special Olympics Donut features a chocolate cake base topped with white fondant, whipped topping, and multicoloured sprinkles, symbolizing diversity and inclusion.

The Special Olympics Donut is available only until February 2, for a limited time at Tim Hortons locations across Canada.
