The design was unveiled on Wednesday at the Toronto Archives and will represent the city during the international tournament.
Selected from 552 applicants, Murray’s poster was chosen by a jury of artists, curators, and FIFA Legend Dwayne De Rosario.
The artwork features a dynamic soccer player marked with a red maple leaf, set against a grid-inspired background reflecting Toronto’s street layout and cultural diversity. The colour scheme emphasizes blue, representing the Toronto flag, and includes symbolic elements such as the city’s shoreline and the downtown stadium location.

Murray, whose work has been featured in events such as the 2024 MLB Postseason and the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, is known for blending bold colours and geometric design with influences from cubism and futurism.
The poster will be displayed at the March 28 Toronto Raptors game against the Charlotte Hornets and the March 29 Toronto FC match against the Vancouver Whitecaps. It will also be preserved in the Archives.
All 16 host cities will have unique posters, revealed online through April 17. Posters will be available for purchase starting April 19 online.
The official tournament-wide poster will be released at a later date.
Toronto is set to host six FIFA World Cup 2026 matches at the BMO Field, beginning with the opening Group Stage game on June 12, 2026—Canada’s first-ever men’s World Cup match on home soil.
