The event, now in its ninth year, promises three days filled with tacos, tequila, live music, and salsa dancing.
More than 50 of Toronto’s chefs and vendors will be serving up over 250 varieties of tacos, with everything from traditional favourites to inventive new takes from August 8 to 10.

Last year’s “Best Taco” winner, Rosas Toronto, will be back with their popular Camaron y Coco taco—featuring coconut-crusted shrimp, mango salsa, and sweet chilli on a corn tortilla—as they aim to hold onto the title.
Festivalgoers can vote again this year for their favourite taco, giving everyone a say in who takes home the city’s top taco honours.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from April 7 to 9 and include $10 worth of free taco tokens. General admission starts at $19.50, with public sales opening April 11.
Taco Fest, also held in Montreal and Los Angeles, has grown beyond a food festival into a full cultural experience, complete with live Mariachi performances and DJ sets throughout the weekend.
The party takes place at the Fort York National Historic Site.
