Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos announced the change in policy in a press conference today.

Jean-Yves Duclos says travellers will be randomly selected for on-arrival testing, but no longer need to quarantine.

Visitors to Canada need to be fully vaccinated to enter the country.

All travellers are still required to submit their mandatory information via ArriveCAN (free mobile app or website), including proof of vaccination in English or French.

Canadians who are unvaccinated will need to quarantine and be tested on arrival and eights later.

Currently, all travellers need to show proof of negative authorized antigen test or PCR test taken the day prior to their scheduled flight or arrival at the border.

More to come…
