The agreement allows passengers to book rides directly from the airport, offering an alternative to traditional taxis and shuttles.
The airport, which sees more than 280,000 passengers each year, said the move expands flexibility for both visitors and residents.
Greg Hierlihy, Chief Executive Officer of Saint John Airport, described the addition as a step toward improving convenience for travellers. “It gives our travellers more flexibility and convenience when it comes to drop-offs and pick-ups, and we’re always happy to have new services to enhance the passenger experience,” Hierlihy said.
Uride, founded in 2018, has grown to operate in 25 Canadian cities and has completed more than five million rides nationwide. The company was established with a focus on affordable and reliable service, according to its founder and CEO, Cody Ruberto. “We created Uride to bring safe, reliable, affordable transportation to the community, and we’re thrilled to partner with Saint John Airport to bring that same experience to travellers,” Ruberto said.
Travellers can book rides using the Uride app, which is available for free on iOS and Android devices. The process allows passengers to confirm a trip within seconds. For newcomers, the service provides a simple start to their journey. “Visiting Saint John is even better now that I can book a Uride directly from the airport,” said Sarah Patel, a first-time visitor.
