Wendy’s Canada is marking its 50th anniversary this week, commemorating five decades since the brand opened its first Canadian restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario in 1975.
The milestone reflects the company’s steady expansion across the country, now operating close to 450 locations.
To recognize the occasion, Wendy’s is offering its Jr. Frosty dessert for 50 cents until Saturday, May 24, 2025. The promotion includes both chocolate and vanilla flavours, each made with Canadian dairy.
The Jr. Frosty has become one of the brand’s signature items. The chocolate version was originally developed by founder Dave Thomas as a complement to his hamburger vision—thick enough to eat with a spoon, smooth enough to drink through a straw. Each serving contains 190 calories. The vanilla option, a later addition, follows the same format and has become a staple dessert on the menu.
This limited-time offer is available at participating locations nationwide as part of Wendy’s anniversary celebration.
