What to Expect at This Weekend’s Taste of the Middle East Winter Festival in Mississauga

The first-ever Taste of the Middle East Winter Festival 2023  taking place this weekend promises to transport visitors on a sensory journey through the streets and markets of the Middle East.

The festival organisers are planning to offer an exquisite fusion of Arabic music, art, and culture inspired by the legendary tales of 1001 Nights.

This three-day event will feature an eclectic mix of both new and emerging local artists, old favourites, and some of the most prominent performers in Toronto’s Canadian Arabic community, making our TOME stage the place to be.

Get ready to shop, as over 60 vendors will be present, showcasing a wide range of merchandise, art, jewelry, fashion, artisans, music, dabke, dance, and chef demonstrations. And let’s not forget about the mouth-watering Arabic food and desserts available in abundance.

While adults enjoy the festival, children can also have their share of fun with games, activities, and shows organized for them in our Kids Carnival, in partnership with “The Day Events.” Some of these shows will take place on the main stage, ensuring that everyone has a good time.

On Saturday night, there will be a special concert – Beirut Ya Beirut. Dana Salah from Jordan, Hala Chergui from Montreal, Danny Ashkar from Lebanon and other local artists will take the audience on a journey to Beirut through music, sound, and art.
