Yoplait Canada has pulled its 200-mL YOP drinkable yogurt from stores across the country, issuing a preventative recall after discovering a potential packaging defect that could leave plastic fragments in the product.

The voluntary recall covers every flavour of the 200-mL bottles with best-before dates between October 21, 2025 and January 12, 2026. The company says no other Yoplait items are affected and there have been no reports of injuries.
According to the news release, the decision was triggered internally, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is now carrying out a food-safety investigation. The CFIA is also checking that retailers have removed the affected bottles from sale and notes that further recalls are possible depending on the investigation’s findings.
Consumers who already have the product are urged not to drink it. The guidance is straightforward: do not consume, sell, or distribute the recalled yogurt. Anyone who purchased it can return it to the retailer for a refund or throw it away.
Yoplait Canada says it is working with both the CFIA and retail partners and emphasizes that the “health and wellbeing of Canadians” remains a priority. For questions, customers can call 1-800-230-8103 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST, or check the recall notice published on the CFIA website.
The CFIA encourages Canadians to follow its recall alerts and report any food-safety concerns as the investigation continues.
