Toronto residents who want to work during the 2026 municipal election can now apply for paid voting place positions, with Toronto Elections looking to fill thousands of roles across the city.
Election day is set for Monday, October 26, 2026.
The jobs are open to applicants who are at least 18 years old and legally allowed to work in Canada. Those selected will help support the voting process at local voting places, taking on roles that call for customer service, problem-solving, leadership and teamwork.
Toronto Elections says these workers will play a part in delivering a municipal election that is fair, open, accessible and secure. For many residents, the work may also offer a practical way to gain experience while contributing to a major civic event.
Where possible, successful applicants will be placed at a voting location close to their home address.
Applications are available through the Toronto Elections Jobs webpage.
Residents who need computer or internet access to apply can use services at Toronto Public Library branches, many Toronto Employment and Social Services locations, and community employment hubs.
