Instead of opening bookings for campsites on a single day, Alberta Parks will open reservations 90 days in advance for individual campsites, and 180 days for group and comfort camping.

Alberta Parks says group camping areas can also be booked year-round for reservations starting January 12th. This will depend upon each campground’s opening and closing dates.

Also, Alberta Parks is reducing the maximum bookable consecutive nights in one reservation to 10 from 16, but the maximum allowable stay will remain at 16 consecutive nights. To stay consecutive nights of 16 days, two reservations are required.

The booking window will open each morning at 9:00 a.m. starting January 11th.

This means that if you want to go camping starting:

  • On Victoria Day Weekend (Monday, May 23, 2022) — Book on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. for individual camping sites if your first day of camping is Friday, May 20, 2022.
