In May, locals and visitors have the chance to try several new restaurants around Vancouver. These include sit-down spots, take-out locations, and cafes. But beyond all the new restaurants to try in Vancouver, there are also food celebrations to look forward to this month.
This includes Mother’s Day dining in Vancouver, one of the biggest reasons to celebrate this May!
Recent Vancouver Restaurant Openings
Kinto Ramen
Kinto Ramen opened two new locations last month, and the menu will include a range of hearty ramen bowls prepared with slow-cooked pork, chicken and vegetarian broth in four distinct styles — Original, Shoyu, Miso, Spicy — as well as a newly introduced beef ramen featuring a 100-percent beef broth. Ramen bowls will be served with a choice of thick, thin or shirataki noodles and finished with traditional and modern toppings like seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, nori, and sweet corn.

Bufala Pizzeria
The Bufala Pizzeria name may already sound familiar as the Italian restaurant already have two Vancouver locations. And in recent months, they celebrated the grand opening of the Bufala Pizzeria River District location. They are known already for excellent and authentic Italian pizza, and several other dishes.

Sula Indian Restaurant
The Sula Indian Restaurant group recently celebrated the grand opening of their third Vancouver location. The new Davie Street Sula Indian Restaurant location offers the same warm and inviting atmosphere as the other two restaurants with comfortable seating and natural décor.

Sushi Masuda
Sushi Masuda in downtown Vancouver provide an authentic omakase dining experience. Their omakase tasting menu include four or five appetizers to start followed by a variety of sushi rolls, and a bowl of soup. The seafood and seaweed are imported from Japan, while their soy sauce is aged for four years!

Meo Chinatown
Find yourself a new place for drinks, snacks, or to meet friends in Vancouver’s new Meo Chinatown restaurant. They offer a variety of fun and flavourful craft cocktails to pair with sweet and savoury snacks. Their food menu includes small appetizers, and plates meant for sharing.

Jinmi
Jinmi, who only opened about a month ago, offer Vancouver a taste of South Korean and Pacific Northwest fusion cuisine. With this, diners get a wide selection of unique tapas, and Jinmi’s feature dish, soy marinated crab available as regular or as spicy.

Sushi Today
Sushi Today, which recently opened last April in the location of a former sushi restaurant, provide a large menu of roles, cones, appetizers, and more. They aim to use the freshest ingredients possible when creating any of these dishes like sushi, nigiri, oshi, salads, rice bowls, and other authentic Japanese dishes.

La Pizza Week
Celebrate one of the world’s favourite foods in the first week of May in Vancouver. La Pizza Week hits Vancouver from May 1-7, and there are eight different participating pizzerias in the city. Each of these restaurants will have a pizza on special for La Pizza Week. These include
