The campground is located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River and there is a beautiful trail that leads to the most scenic river valley views you will ever encounter. Those who are looking for a quiet and secluded getaway with their loved one will be more than satisfied with their stay at Thompson Creek.
Crescent Falls Provincial Recreation Area
There is something romantic about water rushing down the side of a mountain. The beauty and awe that it invokes within a person sets the mood unlike anything else. Being able to camp in theCrescent Falls Provincial Recreation Area means you can have that waterfall romance right where you sleep. With only 29 sites at this campground it never feels overly crowded. Other things to do while in the Crescent Falls area include fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and taking plenty of Instagram worthy pictures.

But if you are interested in exploring the mountains in a bit of a different way, one idea may be to try a helicopter tour with a stop to check out the always fascinating Abraham Lake.
