New Brunswick Summer Festivals 2022

There are lots of festivals in New Brunswick to look forward to this summer.

With Covid-19 restrictions looking to be lifted by late spring, it is time to start making some summer plans in this beautiful province.

From beer festivals and music festivals to cultural festivals, here are 15 festivals you must attend if you are planning to visit New Brunswick between June and September.

FYI: Festivals like Shediac Lobster Festival have not yet announced 2022 dates.  Check back in June 2022 for summer fun across NB. 

Fredericton Craft Beer Festival

Selling out year after year, the Fredericton Craft Beer Festival is New Brunswick’s largest and most popular craft beer festival. Sample what local breweries have been up to along Queen Street. This is an outdoor event, rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately.

Greater Moncton Highland Games & Scottish Festival

This year, the Greater Moncton Highland Games & Scottish Festival is home to 2022 Master World Championships by Scottish Masters Athletics International. Watch the World’s strongest Heavy Event athletes complete at the 2022 Highland Games. There will also be highland dancing, pipe bands, and historical re-enactors.

Beer on the Bridge

The perfect date night or a relaxing evening to spend with your friends this summer. Enjoy local craft beer, cider or mead on the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge while watching the sun go down over the Saint John River and listening to live music.

Cape Tormentine Beach Music Festival

Enjoy great country music while overlooking the ocean at the annual Cape Tormentine Music Festival. Over four days, there is live country music, an open mic competition, a washer toss tournament, and daily 50/50 draws. The Cape Tormentine Beach Campground is the ‘popular’ place to stay since it is close to the stage and has special events scheduled over the weekend.

Area 506 Festival

Spend the New Brunswick Day long weekend on the Saint John Waterfront listening to live music. Unique to the Area 506 Festival is the Container Village — about a dozen shipping containers permanently left in the Saint John harbour are utilized to great effect at 506 to create a village of sorts.

Miramichi Rock & Roll Festival

This three-day festival includes such events as the Golden Oldie Car Show, concerts, street dance, fireworks, and more. Be sure to get your tickets soon for Kim Mitchell and Raglan Road 4.0 who are performing on the Main Stage on July 30th. You should also wear your poodle skirts and leather jackets when checking out the other musical performances in the big tent on the waterfront. Thousands of sunflowers are waiting for you at the Green Pig Country Market in Salisbury. The Festival starts when the sunflowers come into full bloom.
