Taste of Edmonton
Canada’s largest food festival, Taste of Edmonton has announced that it is cancelling 2020 edition that was scheduled for July 16 – 26, 2020.
Announced the cancellation, Donovan Vienneau, General Manager of Events Edmonton said, ” To protect the health and safety of Edmontonians, Events Edmonton announces that the 2020 Taste of Edmonton will be postponed to July 22 – August 1, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“The health and safety of our staff, restaurant partners, volunteers, and Edmontonians is a responsibility that we take very seriously. Now more than ever Edmontonians need the enjoyment of so many amazing local restaurants and entertainment. However following the guidelines set out by governing bodies about mass gatherings, our organization felt strongly that Taste of Edmonton 2020 cannot proceed in these unprecedented times.”
Major Edmonton festivals like K-days, Edmonton Folk Festival, and Edmonton Fringe Festival are also cancelled due to COVID-19.
