Summer in Durham Region means plenty of outdoor fun and ribfests!

Whitby Ribfest organized by the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise is back this weekend at Victoria Fields.
The festival will feature mouthwatering ribs from Uncle Sam’s, Sticky Fingers BBQ Company, Billy Bones BBQ, Silver Bullet Bar B Q, Camp 31, and HaWGs gone WILD BBQ TEAM.
In addition, you can find merchandise like local arts and crafts, and various food options like chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, corn, Mexican food, french fries, fried onions, donuts, funnel cakes, popcorn, ice cream, and much more.
There will be a special kids area with free, fun activities including make and take crafts, balloon twisting, storytime, and giant Jenga among others.

Robertson Amusements
Robertson Amusements will be bringing their midway rides like Ali Baba, Avalanche, Sizzler and kiddie rides like the carousel.
Samurai Fly, Highland Creek Pipe Band, Dylan Burk, The Almost Hip, Steele, Two for the Show, Backstage Pass Band, The Covers, PBX, Matt Doran, The Covers, and Lonely Hearts will provide live entertainment over the three days.
The festival serves as a fundraiser to support charity projects which Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise supports like Kids Against Hunger, Bethesda House, Shine Through the Rain, Safe Hope Homes, Durham Deaf Services, Girls of Durham, Rose of Durham, Their Opportunity, Windreach Farm, Durham College, We Grow Food, Station Gallery, End Polio Now, Community Living, Back Door Mission, Boys & Girls Club of Durham, YWCA, Autism Home Base Durham, Muslim Womens Shelter, Whitby Sports Hall of Fame, Feed The Need Durham, Lakeridge Community Support Services and many more!
Whitby Ribfest
What: Enjoy a great lineup of awesome entertainment, savour the best ribs, laugh while taking advantage of a full midway experience, and shop at the many marketplace vendors.
When:
July 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2022
Friday: 12 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
KidsFest: Saturday, July 9th and Sunday, July 10th: 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
How much: Admission is free, food and rides ticketed.
You can use the following coupon for getting $3 off half rack ribs on July 8th between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Midway ride single tickets cost ~ $1.75 and each ride take approximately 1 to 3 tickets each. You can get 16 coupons for $25 or 26 coupons for $40.

Parking:
There are two entrances to the lot. One entrance is located off of Henry St. and one-off of Victoria St.
The only official Parking for the Whitby Ribfest will be at the GO Transit Parking lot at the corner of Henry St. and Victoria St. Whitby Ribfest visitors may NOT park in the boat launch or either of the soccer field parking lots (Watson or Victoria).
