The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride is returning to tour various cities and towns this summer.
RCMP Musical Ride
RCMP is marking their 153rd anniversary this year, and the tour will visit British Columbia and Ontario starting in June.
Showcasing the equestrian skills of the cavalry, the Musical Ride is performed by a full troop of 32 riders and their horses performing choreographed cavalry drills to music.
From the famous “Dome” formation, which was once featured on the back of the Canadian fifty-dollar bill, to the exciting “Charge” movement, where lances are lowered, and the riders and their mounts launch into a gallop, the RCMP Musical Ride is a must-see event.
Every year, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride travels up to 50 communities across Canada between May and October, helping to raise money for local charities and non-profit organizations.
If you are interested in traditional RCMP ceremonies, visit Regina for the Sergeant Major’s Parade and Sunset-Retreat Ceremony or tour the home of the RCMP Musical Ride, the Musical Ride Stables in Ottawa.
The tour is scheduled to visit locations in Saskatchewan and the Atlantic provinces in 2027, and Manitoba and Ontario in 2028.
