The parade runs from 1 to 3 p.m. on August 22, with thousands of 2SLGBTQ+ community members, allies and supporters expected to attend. The event is free and open to everyone.
Edmonton’s Pride Parade was on hiatus from 2017 until its return in 2025.
The route begins at Churchill Square, then heads west along 102A Avenue, turns onto 103 Avenue, and moves north to then finish at the northwest corner of Fan Park.
For a good view, organizers suggest arriving early. Popular spots include Sir Winston Churchill Square, 102A/103 and 104 Avenues, ICE District Plaza and Fan Park.
And the day does not end with the parade.
PrideFest takes over Fan Park afterward with a free, all-ages festival featuring headliner Rêve, local drag performers, musicians, artists and bands.
You can also browse the Rainbow Market, visit community organizations, and choose from more than a dozen food trucks serving everything from mini donuts to BBQ chicken.
There will also be Bud Light Beer Gardens for those looking to sit back and take in the festival atmosphere.
The festival continues Sunday with Indigenous Pride celebrations from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
