Markham is getting a full weekend of racing, music and festival activity as the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy moves onto a new 12-turn, 3.52-kilometre temporary street circuit. IndyCar’s second-oldest street race makes its Markham debut this year after nearly 40 years at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

In 2025, the event generated more than $85 million for Ontario’s economy and welcomed over 160,000 visitors. This year, five racing series will contest eight races, alongside live music and Free Fan Friday.

Where is the racetrack:

What to expect:

  • Five racing series: The NTT INDYCAR SERIES headlines Sunday, while the NASCAR Canada Series races Saturday. USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 will each run double-headers, joined by the Emzone Radical Cup Canada. Together, the five series account for eight races across the festival weekend.
  • The Glorious Sons live: The multiple JUNO Award-winning Canadian rock band performs Saturday in 407 ETR Thunder Alley, approximately 15 minutes after the NASCAR Canada Series race, at roughly 6:20 p.m. The group, once described as “Canada’s Best Export” by the Washington Times, is included with Saturday and two-day admission.
  • Ride the Track: Cyclists can take over the closed Markham Indy circuit on Friday, Aug. 14, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Ride the Track 2026 welcomes families, casual riders and experienced cyclists to pedal the course from the Markham Pan Am Centre while supporting The Children’s Breakfast Clubs.
  • Family Fun: Beyond the racing, the Honda Indy will feature food and beverage vendors, Thunder Alley, the family-friendly Speed Zone and an air-conditioned cool-down area inside the Pan Am Centre. Unionville will also join the festivities with exotic and toy car displays, an “Indie” games exhibition, a racing simulator and a four-wheel slot car tournament.

Tickets, views and Friday access:

  • Friday admission is free with a voluntary Make-A-Wish Canada donation. Fans can choose between viewing areas, while grandstands overlook Pit Lane, Turn 3, Remington Turn 5 and Turn 8.
  • General admission costs $90 for two days, $75 Sunday and $50 Saturday. Children 12 and under receive free general admission with a ticketed adult. Grandstand and paddock tickets are extra.
